Book Review: Night Tremors

My latest read has been Night Tremors by Matt Coyle. I’m a big fan of Barnes and Noble so I pretty much always buy from them. I read it on my nook. You can find it here

Ok so I’m including book reviews in my blog because reading is one of my favorite things. I want to share what I think with everyone, too!

So let’s get to the review: Overall, I rated it 4/5 Stars

To be honest, I’m on a huge crime mystery kick. I think this book was on my favorite Nook Deals section and I got it because it was a crime mystery and under $5 at that time. Some of the books in that section aren’t wonderful…. But once I started this book, I was really pleased with it!

This is the second book in a series and I definitely did not know that before I bought it. However, the author did a great job of filling me in enough to where I wasn’t confused the entire time. In fact, I still got a sense of the damaged character Rick is and how the events in the last book scarred him. The first book is on my list of things to read after this one, even though I know what happens I want to read it and see how Rick handles it.

So Rick, the main character, is extremely reckless. I found myself on the edge of my seat cringing just waiting for him to mess something up! He is a PI and goes on vacation to go on a special investigation: a murder that happened years ago that may have put the wrong man in prison.

I can’t go into the plot much further without giving away too many details, but I can tell you that this story is written well and has a great plot and a very interesting ending.

I do recommend this book for a good crime mystery. If you want you can read the first one in the series before, but like I said, it isn’t necessary. I’m definitely going to keep with this series to see what Rick gets himself into next!
